Volunteering

Do you want to be involved and help but don’t have the time to commit to being a board member?

Volunteering is the answer!

Volunteering is a great way to meet your neighbors, make new friends and complete tasks together. Many hands make light work! It gives you a feeling of accomplishment. You don’t need a lot of time to volunteer, just a lot of heart. Community service for us is about fostering comradery, growing relationships and strengthening our community for the benefit of all. Our hope is that by working together, we can set a positive example and instill these same values and ethics in future generations.

We always need volunteers to help with opening in the spring and closing in the fall. Before we open, pressure washing, cleaning, organizing, arranging tables, decorating and stocking freezers. After we close, storing, securing, insulating and winterizing everything so we can lock up the facility for the winter. Throughout the summer, volunteers help with parties, special events, holidays, concessions, and other projects. The majority of times, volunteers only work for a few hours at the most and decide exactly how long they want to help. We have things for everyone in the family to help with, no experience or skills necessary.

Volunteers get first consideration when a board position becomes available.
