Pine Bluff Park and Pool was founded by the New Hope Ruritans and incorporated in 1964 after a group of New Hope DuPont employees dreamed about a community park and pool. Originally, Pine Bluff was to be built in the pine top area just off Dam Town Road in Fort Defiance. However, Mr. George Herman, a DuPont employee, owned farmland in New Hope and graciously donated approximately 20 acres. The pool was completed in 1964 and opened June 1st of that year.

In addition to the pool, Pine Bluff used to have a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and a campground.

Today, Pine Bluff boasts a gorgeous location, quality commercial pool and up to 250 memberships for families and individuals to build a healthy and connected community.
